I have posted this question b4 and there are few others like CTIgem, cavagnaro, mark, Gui75 who showed intrest on the topic but could not answer this question

Which function do you use to route to VRP?

could some one let me/us know how to transfer/route call to VRP from RP?

So far what I’ve found is that, you can’t use it like real route point meaning transfering voice calls to it.
You use it with GVP with URS, need to have vrp by doc. And other media routing such as email …etc.
Hope this makes sense.

Victor and Cavagnaro said it was possible to use VRP for statistic purposes and route from RP to VRP.
WITHOUT using any IVR.

So that if one of them Victor or Cavagnaro could give some more details, we would be so grateful

I haven’t try this so I don’t have any examples.
But you would send a call from GVP to some VRP then URS take over control of that call.

VRPs are a mechanism to obtain a target, not to actually move a call. Its basically asking URS how Would it route the call if it could.

Now, with many IVR systems, the IVR will automatically transfer the call to the target obtained, so the difference may be moot, but you cannot deliver a call to a VRP.

At least to my knowledge.

They are like a virtual queue, kinda. So while you are on a VRP you are stil physically located on the original DN that made the route. It doesnt GO anywhere, it is a logical partition, not a physical one.

So, you might need to clafiry your question as to exactly what you mean.

OK guys,
Taking into account last comments the question is :
When you reside physically in the goold old routing point, how can you (withou using IVR) send to URS a routing request so that URS will execute a strategy on a VRP at the same time.
