[solved]Cannot send e-mails from GAD (ESJ problem in fact)

Hello again,
So my issue now is that I can receive e-mails in GAD but can’t replay to them or create new e-mails. I am using hMailServer. The “To” address is 100% good as I’m doing a replay.

I do not see this as a GAD error, but a ESJ error

Are you using Emailserver version less than 7.5.000.17?

If that is the case - upgrade to a newer version

You can also read Release Notes on Genesys support - if connection to SMTP server has been idle for a long time - in your case:

SMTP connection 1 was idle for 148094 ms, checking it’s validity.

SMTP server returns an error, but ESJ misunderstand it as an invalid recipient problem. In your case:

‘Email’ failed in method ‘Send’ (ErrorCode=912 ErrorMsg=Bad address(es) : No valid recipients found).

You should also add a delay in the sending strategy, and then do a re-try sending the outbound email.

I have restarted ESJ and there is no more idle now but still same problem.

Hi vma,

I’m pretty sure that the error - Error : No valid recipients found. - you see in ESJ log is returned by your mail server. The error means that your mail server doesn’t know how to deliver email to recipient address “[email removed]”.

Can you enable debug logging on SMTP connection (smtp-client section in ESJ options, set the key “enable-debug” to “true”) and repeat the test?

I found the problem. The authentication was not done because “enable-authentication” option was set to false. So the error message was not very sugestive
