SIP 408 Timeout on APAC BYOC Trunk during Digital-to-Voice Handoff

Encountering intermittent SIP 408 Request Timeout errors when attempting to bridge a messaging session to a voice call via our Singapore-based BYOC trunk. The Architect flow triggers the Create Voice Conversation action immediately after the customer confirms intent, but the INVITE fails to reach the carrier gateway within the 10-second window.

This issue is specific to the APAC region trunks; the US trunks handle the same flow without latency spikes. The SIP registration status remains 200 OK, and outbound routing rules are correctly prioritized. However, the latency metrics in the analytics dashboard show a sudden jump to 450ms right before the timeout occurs.

Has anyone observed similar behavior with carrier failover logic interfering with digital handoffs? We are running Genesys Cloud release 24.1.1. The error logs in the SIP trace show the request reaching our edge server but never receiving a provisional response from the carrier. Is there a specific timeout setting in the trunk configuration that needs adjustment for digital-to-voice transitions, or is this a carrier-side provisioning issue related to media path setup?
