Script step fails when mapping Zendesk custom fields

Does anyone know how to handle missing custom field mappings in Genesys Cloud Agent Scripting? We migrated from Zendesk where scripts relied heavily on custom ticket fields. Now, the script step fails with a 400 error when trying to reference these attributes.
