which version of contact server and oracle drivers are you running? I’d check the tnsnames.ora file. Anyway if the error occurs every once and a while it may be unavalaibility of the contact server db due to network connectivity issue.
I would say you’re using old driver for Oracle which doesn’t support all features of 9i. Please check installed drivers in Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Data Sources (ODBC). All installed drivers are listed on tab Drivers, look for drivers “GCTI x.x Oracle Wire Protocol”. I’m not 100 % sure but you need driver’s version 4.2.
If the “right” driver (version 4.2) is installed then the issue could be caused by wrong configuration of Contact Server. Please check following option of Contact Server - section “DataSource Agent”, key “Connection”. The connection string should refer to driver version 4.2 (e.g. “driver={GCTI 4.2 Oracle Wire Protocol};SID=…”)
Hi,
Have you changed the settings in CME? If I remember correct you have to change the driver settings for UAD (client) under Contact Server from the old wire version to the new. (4.2 Oracle Driver)
