I do not know if there is a training material other than the fact that they give you a source code; however, if you look in ActiveX manuals, you will find all the information you need on how to use softphone as well as how to program it.
The manuals you want are:
ActiveX Interface Starter App 5.1 User’s Guide
Desktop Toolkit 6.1 ActiveX Help File
Desktop Toolkit ActiveX Developer’s Guide
That should probably get you what you need. Or just ask here
