Do I need to create a new template/layout within DMA each time I want to apply a filter to a statistic?
For example, we have been using one specific template for a while but now wanted to apply new filters to the answered and abandoned statistics. Can I just amend the existing template?

AFAIK: v7.2.001.01… You should be able to de-activate the Report, update/modify/add stats/filters to it, then re-activate it…

If you dont want to deactivate the Layout .you can stop all genesys Services for a while and add the filters to template and restart the services. it will start capturing the data.
Note: While adding/modifying the filter to existing template it will give to some Message box saying it may have affect on database.Do ignore that messsage and add the statistics or filters.I did it couple of times and it worked for me perfectly without any issues.
