I have created a new VQ however it has not appeared within the objects table of an existing ccpulse workspace - despite it being open at the same time.
Usually when this process is followed (ensuring ccpulse is open when new objects in CME are created) - they appear automatically. Does this apply to specific objects only? Seems to work for DN groups. The IgnoreNewObjectNotifications option is set to false.
If this is how it works by design is our only option to recreate the views within a new workspace, where the new VQ is now selected??
If using CCPulse 8.x you can save templates now in XML format, which you can modify manually so you don’t have to recreate the whole WorkSpace All you need is the DBID object from CME (sce.exe -d) and copy paste the XML tags with new DBID…not hard at all with 10 min of analysis.
As far as I remember, for CCPulse to automatically acknowledge new object creation, you needed to select (check) the ‘Include All’ option in the Configuration Wizard - Object Instances page while creating the workspace.
I just tested it with CCP 8.0.101.21 and the behavior is still the same: if you didn’t check the ‘Include All’, new objects added in CME/GA are not automatically added in an existing workspace.
CCPulse will display newly added objects (if configured to do so) only if there exists connection between already displayed and newly added objects (e.g. new agent and already monitored/displayed agent group) or ‘Include All’ was checked when creating workspace.
