Zendesk API Rate Limit Mapping to Genesys Cloud

So I’m seeing a very odd bug with HTTP 429 Too Many Requests when migrating ticket comments. In Zendesk, we handled rate limits gracefully, but the Genesys Cloud Conversations API seems stricter. Is there a standard retry logic or batching strategy recommended for high-volume ticket-to-interaction mapping? We are hitting this during peak migration windows in Europe/Paris timezone. Need practical advice on avoiding throttling.
