Does anybody know if there’s a way to install WD 8.5 on a Windows 10 machine?
Windows 10 comes with .NET Framework 4.6 as part of the operating system and it wont allow me to install .NET 4.5.
Unfortunately WD is looking for exactly .NET 4.5 in order to continue with the install.
Does anybody know of a workaround for this?
Did you encountered any error during the installation or using the WDE on Windows 10? Officially this env is supported (WDE running in 32bit mode on 64bit OS), so in case you cannot use the WDE on Win10, you should open a #SR to the Genesys support. The WDE support .Net 4.5+. so, the 4.6 should be supported as well.

I researched it further and it appears that the version of WDE (8.5.108.18) that I’m using doesn’t support Windows 10 or .NET 4.6.
Windows 10 support was added to versions 8.5.109.25 and above, so i’ll be updating to the latest version to be safe.
Also note that Windows 10 support wasn’t added to SIP Endpoint until version 8.5.107.03 so i’ll be updating that application as well.
