Windows Media Services for GAD?

Hi

We have a server which is basically only used to host the GAD, i.e. all it has installed on it is the GAD and an LCA.

Windows Media Services is installed on this server, and is being identified as a high vulnerability by my network security scanner.

Is there any need for WMS to be installed, considering the GAD doesn’t deal with streaming media etc?

Hi Adam,

I’ve never heard about Windows Media Services being a pre-requisite for GAD. I’m sure you don’t need WMS on GAD host.

Can’t say that I noticed it being mentioned on any of the installation courses.
