What is the correct way to handle BYOC WebSocket handshake failures under load?

Running JMeter tests against our BYOC edge deployment. Hit 100 concurrent WebSocket connections and started seeing 401 Unauthorized errors on the handshake endpoint. The token generation logic seems fine at lower volumes.

  • Verified JWT expiry times are set to 24 hours.
  • Checked edge logs for rate limiting, but no 429s found.

Any ideas on connection pooling limits or token validation delays at scale?

Take a look at at the token validation latency against the WebSocket timeout thresholds in the Architect flow settings.

  • JWT expiration alignment
  • Connection pool sizing
  • Edge endpoint rate limits
