Experiencing intermittent SIP 408 Request Timeout errors specifically within Genesys Cloud Architect flows on the AP-1 region BYOC trunk. The issue manifests when callers navigate through a multi-level IVR menu before being routed to a queue.
The trunk configuration uses standard SIP 2.0 credentials with 30-second keep-alive intervals. Failover logic is set to ‘Immediate’ with a secondary trunk in AP-2, but the secondary never triggers because the primary connection drops before the failover threshold is met.
Debug logs show the INVITE is accepted, but the subsequent re-INVITE or INFO message during menu selection times out. This happens consistently after 45 seconds of silence or low-volume hold music. Has anyone encountered similar latency issues with AP-1 trunks?
Environment: Genesys Cloud US1 (primary), AP-1 BYOC Trunk, Architect v2023.4.0. Carrier is a local Singaporean provider with known jitter issues during peak hours. Need to determine if this is a platform-side timeout or a carrier-specific SIP stack incompatibility. Any insights on adjusting the SIP timer settings or forcing a re-register during idle periods?
