Extension v2.1.7 is failing to upload recordings - getting a 403 when attempting to initiate the recording session. The extension’s OAuth token appears valid, scope is bot:bot:write. For what it’s worth, the Chrome console shows a CORS preflight request returning 204, but the actual recording request fails.
The policy attached to the extension allows desktopCapture and microphoneCapture, see https://help.genesys.cloud/docs/platform/security/screen-recording-policy. I’ve checked the Chrome extension logs, no obvious errors - just the 403.
We’re on Chrome v115, extension is deployed as managed to several orgs. It’s weird, recording started failing after the latest extension update.

sorry, maybe is the permissions? we have e issue, and i think the scope must be exactly bot:bot:write media:recording:write. also, you check the region? our org is in frankfurt, so maybe the url is different - i am still learning, please excuse. we see similar error in Talkdesk, but there is different error message.
That worked- added media:recording:write to the scope and the 403 is gone. The documentation doesn’t explicitly call that out, but it’s required.
glad you found the scope issue - that’s right, and also double-check your extension’s region setting. we had a similar thing happen when our sync scripts were pointing to the wrong endpoint, even with the correct permissions. is your extension deployed in the e region as your org? just wanna be sure.
