something’s off with SCIM - user updates are failing intermittently. we’re seeing 400 Bad Request errors on the PATCH /api/v2/scim/users/{userId} endpoint.
the request body looks correct - standard SCIM schema, only updating userName and emails. it’s not a network issue, i’ve confirmed connectivity.
here’s a sample error response:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| status | 400 |
| code | invalidInput |
| message | Invalid attribute value provided. |
| detail | attribute:userName, value:test.user, message: userName cannot contain special characters. |
odd thing? the username doesn’t contain special characters. double-checked the source system. this is happening with multiple users, different usernames.
also - reminder, OAuth token rotation is critical here. ensure the token used for SCIM calls has the appropriate scim:write scope and hasn’t expired.
