I am very new to Genesys. I have to install a new version of the I-Server which will replace the older version in the current setup. Can somebody please tell me, what are all the applications I need to stop and in which order i need to stop to uninstall the existing version and after installing the new version of I-Server in which order I need to start the applications? As far as I know, T-Server needs to be stopped while uninstalling the older version of I-Server and insatlling the the new version of I-Server. Are there any more genesys services needs to bring down for this installation to happen?
It will all depend on which Genesys suites you have and their architecture.
It is a little worrying that you have no step-by step plan for your work. You should always practice and plan your work on a test environment first because problems will arise and thus could lead to an unplanned extended down-time.
We are using Genesys Framework of version 7.5 and the architecture is the basic architecture with all management layer components and the Media layer components. Sorry if i am not providing you the clear details as i am very new to Genesys.
Acutally it is the test environment only on which i have to do this upgrade. so please help me in understanding what are all the applications that are dependent on I-Server?
Even if you give me a startup idea with which i can try.. it will be good enough for me…!
