Outbound not dialing - Insufficient ports

Hey guys,

Recently we are facing an issue where Sip Server starts to getting a sip 480 - Temporarily Not Available like this:

SIP/2.0 480 Temporarily Unavailable
Via: SIP/2.0/UDP XXX.XXX.132.158:5060;branch=z9hG4bK65DB48BF-E008-4FAA-8B6F-C5AE77D0978C-105915356

Warning: 399 XXX.XXX.132.135 “Insufficient source resource port capacity”

132.158 is SIP VIP and 132.135 is RM.

The outbound trunks capacity is below the limit.

To solve this, we have to restart RM and we have having to do that like 3x a week.

I tried to look at some guides and the closest thing i found so far is that Genesys recommends not to use many trunk groups due to excess of subscription ids.

Anyone knows why is this happening ?

and on next CTI Events we get the userdata “‘MediaServerErrorCode’ 480”

Install the latest version of RM - if I remember well, there was similiar bug where the resources for LRGP were not cleared even they were not in use. The message itself is not related to the trunk capacity, but to the LRGP capacity.

How many ports does your MCP has configured?
Agree with Kubig, there is a buggy version on RM and MCP that didn’t release ports due a missing header
Upgrade both to latest versions
