Trying to stabilize the ws reconnect loop for the Notification API stream before the dashboard drops packets. The close handler keeps firing at 1006 and won’t trigger the setInterval backoff routine. Here is the node dump when the socket tears down:

It’s swallowing the reconnect: true flag after the second attempt and leaving the pollingInterval dangling.
