major difference b/w SIP T server and T-Server

Hi guy..

Just want to know why i should opt for SIP TServer in place of T-server.
i know that SIP T server is the IP interface and T-Server is a TDM interface

but what are the other major difference b/w SIP T server and T-Server.

Rds.

If you want a SIP / VoIP based architecture including GVP, Stream Manager / Media server etc. you need SIP server.

Hi,

Main difference is that SIP Server plays two roles - role of T-Server for CTI clients and role of SIP call-switching component (Back-to-Back User Agent) for SIP clients. It means that SIP Server is directly involved in call signalling as opposed to T-Server for Alcatel/Nortel/Cisco etc. that is “just” a client connected to the switch.
