Java SDK ApiClient timeout on UC integration config calls

Is there a faster way to handle connection timeouts when fetching UC client app configs? Fun one today. We’ve got a Spring Boot service using Java SDK v104.2.0 that keeps hanging on GET /api/v2/integrations/unifiedcommunications/clientapps/{ucIntegrationId}. The thread just sits there until the gateway kills it. Why is it doing this? It’s likely the default ApiClient connection pooling settings not playing nice with our VPC proxy.

The app is throwing a java.net.SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out after 60 seconds, which is way too long for a real-time sync. We’ve tried bumping the ApiClient.setConnectTimeout and setReadTimeout, but it’s still flaky under load. I just need the quickest way to force a shorter timeout or bypass the pool for these specific integration calls so we don’t lock up the whole service.

ApiClient client = new ApiClient();
client.setConnectTimeout(5000);
client.setReadTimeout(5000);
// still seeing hangs on the UC integration endpoint
