IVR pulling data from which server

I have a basic question.

I want to know where is IVR pulling data from.
for eg. IVR is giving us the payoff balance for particular account number. From whch database does it search the payoff balance for that account number. We are using Genesys GVP 7.6.

It is a custom database, not default.

Gvp doesn’t have a DB to start, only to store metrics of gvp itself.
Are we reaching this kind of questions now? So sad
