Need some clarification from you on GVP with T-Server.
I have 2 call centres with the T-server and main components in SiteA and GVP in Site B. Both sites run Avaya with SiteB running on Avaya LSP.
I am hearing that when GVP cant see the Tserver, GVP will not be able to answer call as tserver cannot pass the DNIS to GVP. So even if GVP is up and running, it is rendered “useless”.
Is this true?
- Does it mean that GVP must always have connectivity to the T-server in order to have calls routed to it (the GVP) ?
- In event any T-servers are not contactable, GVP cannot answer the call even if Avaya routes the incoming calls directly to one of it’s GVP ports?
- Since GVP’s license is stored in the Framework (in SiteA), if there is a network outage in the local GVP SiteB how will it’s licensing be affected?
any advise would be welcome. thank you!!
