I am evaluating the GVP to integrate it with Genesys CTI. Firstable we are going to generate a Testing enviroment, that´s why we are trying to deploy it with the less elements as possible.
Our questions:
Integration between the Genesys CTI and GVP is between the IVR Server and IVR Cliente, isn´t it?
If is possible to install al the elemts in only one host, because we have ridden that IPCS must not be with the VCS.
Wich are the minimun elements necessary for this implementation.

Yes it is.

You can install all GVP on one server, however you must decide if you are going to use VCS for Dialogic Board or IPCS for IP (SIP) integration.
However for VCS I would recommend to install on another Server as Dialogic host because it will consume process of the CPU and will probably slow down GVP performance.

Your Windows 2003 server, IIS, security patchs installed and the rest comes with a CPU based on XEON. Depending on your channels you may decide how to deploy your servers.
I would like to ask you a little bit more, just to be sure.
In our platform we have a Avaya Switch so I understand that is why we don´t have a SIP. So, our GVP configuration only uses a VCS?
As I told you, we need to minimize the hw requirements,… (minimize money requirements as well). What we are going to install in one host is:
* VCS
* Dialogic, we don´t mind if is slow because in this time it is just for the testing enviroment.
* VPM
* ASR
* IVR Server Client
Do you think that we need any other element or we must install any of this in any other machine, to implement a simple GVP?.
YEs it will work, but how good do you want it to work?
ASR is another process consumer, add it to your Dialogic Board process consume and you will probably have a lot of issues like delays, slowiness while playing or prompting for a voice…Also as IIS will be on the same CPU imagine the problem it may carry a delay on a DTMF parsing for example.
Putting myself on the medium scenario I’d use a CPU for Genesys GVP and Web Serviced, another for Dialogic E1/T1 board and another for ASR in order to ensure a good quality and solution and avoid any kind of problems and thinking already on expansion of boars if you say that SIP is not an option (licensing maybe?).
Just remember the cheap sometimes may become a headacke later.
I can tell you, that after installing well over 50 VCS systems in a large GVP deployment, both production and development, you will not be happy with the performance of the system you are planning on implimenting, especially if you are not using a ‘host processing’ Dialogic board. We only used DMV cards with dedicated processors, and we still put them in separate systems.
