Genesys SIP & OXE Media Gateway

Quick and dirty question for all the pros out there:

anyone tried to use OmniPCX as a VoIP gateway for genesys sip Tserver? If so, how did it fare?

I am looking into feasibility study and according to genesys support docs, alcatel omnipx is supported by genesys sip Tserver starting with version 7.1 but is anyone out there using it?

I used as a Incoming/outgoing trunk for SIP Server. However have not tried a full enviroment including SIP Extensions. I think it will work with out many problems.

OmniPCX,
Will it work work with GVP 7.6 without SIP server?
Sending SIP request to GVP 7.6 directly…

Thanks in advance.

Yes it will do, OXE version >= 7.1

Hi,
Any special settings we have to concern about on the OXE to make it work with gvp 7.6?

To have SIP trunk licenses and enough resources…presales guy of OXE should be able to guide you on what you may need.

Thanks.
licneses and resources should be provided by third party, we don’t own it.
What about detecting DTMF in native RTP? Did you run into any issues with that?

Not at all everything works fine

Is OmniPCX support SIP REFER method?
I thought GVP 7.6 uses SIP REFER to do blind transfer and our OmniPCX vendor saying it is not supported at version 9.

How is blind transfer going to work?

I’ve checked docs for 8.0.1 and 9.0 - SIP REFER method on IP Trunk Group is supported in both versions. I’m using blind transfers with VoiceGenie 7.1/OXE 8.0.1 and VoiceGenie 7.2/OXE9.0 without any problems.

Minimal required version for GVP 7.5 for example was G1.302.6 (source - Alcatel technical communications)

If you check release notes, you can find something like this corrected in patch h1.301.25 per example:
Incoming sip call from oxe SIP user to RSI routed to GVP come back by SIP refer to ERP (RSI) does not work.
