I need your input on using Genesys SIP with Asterisk PBX, where Asterisk is used as a VoIP gateway. Where are we on that?

?? Where on what Vic? You can configure * to send all calls to a Genesys SIP Server Routing Point…* will only handle PSTN calls and SIP Server will take care of the rest…
