Hi Experts,

I am new in Genesys Composer. My client does not use composer. they use, ird for developing strategy. i though to install composer in my local machine..if i install composer in my machine and open the strategy..is it going to impact anywhere? i just wanted to see, how composer work..if i install composer in my machine, and open stategy using that..where we don’t use composer..we use ird in our environment..what impact it can be? please provide ur suggestion.. i am new to composer.i know..this is very silly question..sorry for asking this basic question.

Are there the Orchestration server deployed? If no, the Composer is not necessary, because you cannot use appllication/strategies written in Composer for URS environment only.

No sir..there is no ORS..so if there is no ORS, no use of composer..is it?

Well…u can use Composer to create VXML callflow without using ORS.

And how URS will process it?

MCP will do it…

VXML => MCP
SCXML => ORS

So when selected “Voice only” project you can build VXML apps with Composer

This will work with URS & MCP, no ORS needed…

“Routing” or “Routing and Voice” requires ORS in the environment.

There are limits as it is a GVP project
You can’t use any resource from URS. It is not the same.
