Genesys Composer

has anyone used Composer? and is this a replacement for IRD to develop routing strategies or an enhancement of GVP studio?

Hi,

Composer is replacement for both Genesys Studio and IRD. Routing part of Composer is quite new and requires new component - Orchestration Server - to be installed together with URS.

I did wonder about whether it was too new to be considered a replacement just yet.

The genesys routing strategy course dont seem to have much interest anymore and wondered if users are thinking about composer now for the future.

I used the composer and early I will search out any strategy to develop an enhancement of GVP studio.

I remember a while back that you could import 5.x Strategies to 6.x - but after that you couldn’t edit them.

Any know if this is still going to be a problem? Can you import from IRD to Composer…?

Hi Tony,
starting from Composer 8.1.x you can import IRD routing strategies (8.0 and later) for voice interactions into your Composer environment.
And it’s realy works =)

No. To obtain the full functionality of Composer 8.1, the following Genesys products/software components are required:
■Orchestration Server 8.1.2 or later for debugging and testing SCXML session-based applications.
■Genesys Voice Platform (GVP) Media Control Platform 8.1.5 or later for video text overlay and Context Services authentication.
■If you wish to use Context Services in routing workflows and voice callflows, you will need Universal Contact Server/Context Services 8.0.2 or later.
■Genesys Rules System 8.1.0 or later for business logic, which can be customized, and then invoked by VXML and SCXML applications.
