The admin account possesses the required gamification permissions. It’s likely a scope mismatch since the UI allows these changes without issue.
As a temporary workaround, we’ve been deleting and recreating the metric using POST /api/v2/gamification/profiles/{profileId}/metrics, though this disrupts historical leaderboard tracking.
