Does GVP application uses Tomcat server

Hi ALL,

Does GVP uses Tomcat server and i do see a service called SUN one LDAP and directory server services in the host.

Can anyone please help me out in understanding the use of Sun one LDAPDirectory server and Tomcat n we are using IIS to manage the EMPS portal .

We are using 7.6 GVP.

GVP core is one thing and applications (WAS) another.
GVP persé needs only IIS and embedded OpenLDAP server. If you have a big deployment then SUN is recommended.
You can create application using Studio with JSP (Tomcat) or ASP (IIS) but again it is up to you.
