Datasourcer stops working after StatServer is restarted

Hi, guys,

I have a question regarding datasourcer (there seem to be a lot of them lately!)

Just upgraded DataSourcer to version 7.2.001.04 and have found the following problem during the test:

  • datasourcer stops getting data after statserver is rebooted.

In the log, datasourcer reconnect to statserver after statserver is rebooted but i do not see any statistics being brought in. Looking in DMA, I cannot find any new chunks in ODS after statserver is restarted.

Interesting points:
weird error about unknown objects (color red)
number of statistics is 22! (supposed to be close to 300,000) (color orange)

Here is the log:

Any ideas why it is? Is it something related to this particular version?

What I have done before this:

  1. I have modified TotalTimeAdjusted to TotalTime in several of my statistics and so I decided to restart statserver.
  2. I played on www.digg.com

How I fixed it:

  • rebooted datasourcer

Well, obviously, this needs to be addressed in the next release.
Can someone please confirm this problem?

Hi,

Are you using HA? Unless you are using HA Genesys does not reccomend to use version 7.2 of DataSourcer. The reckommen to stay on version 7.1.
I think it is in the Relaese notes for 7.2?

No, we are not using HA… But I am in a habit of getting the latest release.
Yes, I saw 7.2 RN too regarding this, and I wonder why they don’t want us to use it. It seems like ODS structure is different for 7.1 and 7.2

Hi,

Need to upgrade to DataSourcer 7.2.002.24 or above…

When connection loses between Data Sourcer and Stat Server, re-connection does not work properly and messes up statistics collection!

Symposium:
- some tables collect data items but some not
- the older version may work for months without problem
(a site works for half-year before problem is encountered and other
other site runs for almost a year before having the problem reported)

please contact your local Genesys VARs to get an upgrade GA or hotfix version

Hello,
We have the same problem with DataSourcer 7.2.003.06.
We have increased addp timeout from 30 to 90, but the message still appears.

Damn, this has been a while! Upgrading Stat Server to a later version too care of this problem for me!
