Data Action - REST API Timeout

Is there a better way to handle timeouts on data actions? We’ve got a flow that’s supposed to update a customer record with a boolean flag - basically, “tried to contain” - after a transfer to an agent. It’s calling an API to update user data with a PATCH request.

The Architect flow is simple - DTMF menu, transfer, data action. But it’s timing out - consistently - about 75% of the time. The error in the execution history is just “External System Error”. Seems like the API is just…slow? We’re using the latest SDK version in the data action. ymmv, but the container rate is tanking. Is this a rate limit thing, or are we doing something wrong with the API call itself?

Have you checked the data action’s request timeout setting? It defaults to 30 seconds - that endpoint might just be slow. Try bumping it to 60 or 90 - just a hunch, but it’s an easy change.
