I have administrative people that use a SipServer extension (hardphone) without performing any login.
I would like to prevent anyone from doing phone calls from these extensions.
The idea is to redirect external calls to a RP associated to a strategy that will ask (Stream Manager prompts) for the asministrative guy to digit his login and password and check them. Only after sucessful verification will the strategy make the external call.
Does anybody knows if it is possible from a strategy to check that the password digited by the administrative guy is correct
yoiu can try to use th dial plan linked on these DN. For example you can use a simple rule that transfer all call from this DN to specifed RP with auth strategy. And then , if caller pass the auth, ask him to enter called number.
Yes, I used a dial plan to redirect the calls to a RP, it worked, thanks.
I use Alcatel IPTouch 4018 as an IP Hardphone.
There is no way to login them using a pin. They are not like Polycom.
What do you mean by PIN(password) on extension?
I am using harphone not softphones that will register when agents launch them
