What are you trying to achieve by renaming it? Do you need another instance of confserv?
there are several ways to do it. The safest (or is it?) is by going to cfg_app table inside your CME database and just modifying the name.
Also, you will need to modify confserv.conf file’s [confserv] section and rename it whatever the new name you give it.
I have not tried it, but if I did, I would try it that way. I would expect it to work. Maybe.
