One of our customers is rebooting its Genesys Reporting servers (on which StatServer_CCP is located) every Sunday night. As supervisors arrive on Monday morning they launch the CCPulse application but do not see the calls which reached the Call Center until they opened the application.

Is there any possibility to launch CCPulse (and open the Workspaces) on a particular PC after the reboot of the StatServer in order not to lose these calls on the real Time view ?

You could try this (I’ll assume it’s a Windowsased Server);

Install CCPulse on the Server

Create a Batch File on the Server, called CCPULSE.bat, with the following information:

CallCenter.exe user pwd app ws

Save the Batch file in your StartUp Folder of the Server.

Each time the Server is restarted, CCPulse will run, using the , and information, then open the specified .

It should work!

An afterthought…

You will need to map a drive to your Workspace File, as it is reliant on the information for CCPulse in CME.

What I mean is, CCPulse will have a path defined in CME and you need your Server version of CCPulse to emulate the path, as defined in CCPulse.

For instance, if your CCPulse CME settings are defined (for a Desktop PC) as having the CCPulse .stg files in:

C:/CCPulse/Workspaces/Workspaces.stg

C:/CCPulse/Workspaces/Templates.stg

…etc…

…You need to ensure that your Server .stg files are in the same location, from the Server when it reboots. This may mean adding an extra line in the .BAT file to map a drive correctly, or to ensure that your .stg files are in the right place when the Server reboots.

I have created the batch with the following info :

C:\GCTI\CCPulse+\CallCenter.exe user genesys pwd genesys app CCPulse_Local ws Test

When I launch the batch file manually from the server without simulating a reboot for the moment, I get the first popup window from CCpulse but no info are filled in : no user, no password etc…

Did I miss something ?

SET CCPULSE_ACCESS=COMMAND_LINE

How long have you been working with CCPulse… I am very new to this so I am trying to learn as much as I can…

I was always frustrated with the fact that we need to have CCP open at all times to get the right stats. Is there a way out of it? Would changing TimeProfile fix it?

I’m not sure that you would want all available statistics running all of the time. One of my sites has 203 different statistics available in the StatServer/DMA but only 15 are actually in use…

As an addendum to the advice on this thread… To make absolutely sure that your statistics are running 24 hours, if you are using Windoze, you could set up an ATCommand to ensure CCPulse is shut down and run up again on the StatServer Server itself, every day, at 00:01.
