Context:
Deploying a new BYOC trunk in eu-west-2. The underlying carrier gateway is healthy, and the Genesys Cloud tenant shows the trunk as “Active” in the admin console. However, the SIP OPTIONS handshake fails immediately upon initial registration attempt from the edge. The Genesys Cloud logs show a 403 Forbidden response with the error code TRUNK_AUTHENTICATION_FAILED, despite the credentials matching the setup wizard exactly. Verified the shared secret and IP allow-lists are correct.
Question:
Does anyone know if there is a specific latency threshold or a hidden SIP header requirement for the OPTIONS request that triggers this 403, or is this strictly a credential caching issue on the Genesys edge node?
