My current config is completely failing… The primary carrier trunk drops to critical jitter levels, yet traffic refuses to failover to the secondary leg despite priority settings. The SIP registration status shows registered, but the actual media path remains stuck on the degraded carrier. Is there a hidden threshold in Genesys Cloud that overrides manual failover triggers?
My usual workaround is to forcing the JMeter script to simulate registration loss on the primary trunk.
The system only fails over when the SIP registrar sees a timeout, not just high jitter.
Check your BYOC health check intervals in Admin.
