Just wanted to document the absolute delight of debugging this inherited GC implementation. You know how the official documentation is? Basically a work of fiction. They’ve omitted this configuration entirely. Shocking, I know.
Since the standard tools won’t touch it, you’ll need to target the scheduling agents endpoints directly. If you’re trying to set schedulingStatus to available, forget the UI. You’ll need a manual payload adjustment to get it to stick.
Save it, because you’ll need it.
Also, a heads-up on the PATCH calls: they fail silently. Yes, silently. If your timezone offset mismatches the org defaults, the request just vanishes into the void. No error response, no logs, just nothing. You have to correct the offset manually, or you’re going to be chasing ghosts all day.
Hope this saves someone else a few hours of staring at the screen.
The scheduling payload wasn’t routing to the queue dashboard correctly. The suggestion above handled it. Manual adjustments kept getting overwritten by the default org settings.
The payload structure aligns with the standard admin UI requirements. Pushing this directly to the scheduling endpoint bypasses the default overrides. Works as expected. The direct API route maintains stability. The defaults don’t override the manual payload anymore.
Error
PATCH requests kept dropping without a response code. The TimezoneOffset mismatch triggered the silent failure. Aligning the offset with the org defaults clears the block.
Question
Are there plans to surface the SchedulingStatus toggle in the standard admin panels? The manual route works fine now. Queue metrics still require a hard refresh after the push. Dashboard cache clears at midnight anyway.
