6.5/7.2 on the same server

Hello,

I would like to know if it’s possible to have 2 configuration on the same server with a different version of genesys (v6.5 and v7.2)?

Indeed currently we have a configuration 6.5 which functions on a server and I would like to install a configuration 7.2 on the same server.

But I don’t want to migrate from 6.5 to 7.2, I need to run the both configuration at the same time.

Yes but…

(1) make sure you have enough of the correct Genesys licenses.
(2) your DB is of a high enough spec.
(3) the apps v6.5 v v7.2 will need to use different port numbers
(4) your switch supports 2 TServers simultaneously.
(5) keep the install locations separate.

Unless this is a very small test environement, I wouldn’t recommend doing what you want. Even then using the same server will be a false economy.

Why do you not recommend to install 2 versions on the same server?

Precision : I wanna use this configuration for a test environment with no physical switch.
